Car tires (in Finnish they are called autonrenkaat ) are essential parts of a vehicle. They are responsible for carrying the whole weight of the vehicle including the driver, passenger and things in the trunk. They are often left for granted because of the notion that they are unimportant. They are seen as dirty so no one really wants to look at them. They are the only ones connecting your vehicle to the road. That is the reason why they get dirty and worn. You need to take care of your car tires in order for them to last a long time. Otherwise, you will need to keep on replacing worn tyres. As much as possible, tyres need to be replaced when they are worn so that they can function properly. If not, tyres can experience failure or a blowout. This can prove to be disastrous if you are out on the road.
Underinflated car tires ( renkaat ) get hot easily because more force is exerted on them. They have the tendency to get worn easily because of this. Driving with underinflated tyres is different from driving with properly inflated ones. You realize that you cannot control the car as much and you also tend to be slower on the road. Underinflated tyres also reduce fuel efficiency because you need to use more force in order to cover more distance. Overinflated tyres are stiff and more prone to punctures. They do not provide much grip on the road and are more likely to cause bumpy rides.
Properly maintaining your tyres is important so that you can be safer on the road. You save money because you do not need to keep buying new ones. You also save a trip to the mechanic.
